The Benefits of Wall Insulation

Wall insulation is a simple yet effective solution that can provide numerous benefits to homeowners. It seals the thermal envelope of your home, keeping the heat inside during winter and the cool air inside during summer, and the benefits don’t stop there!

Improve Energy Efficiency

Wall insulation is that it helps regulate the temperature inside your home, lowering energy costs and saving money.

Reduced Noise Pollution

Maximise your potential and achieve better results by identifying and overcoming obstacles.

Maintain Consistent Temperatures

Wall insulation helps to keep your home at a consistent temperature, making it more comfortable throughout the year.

Improved Indoor Air Quality

Insulated walls create an airtight seal that prevents air leaks and improves indoor air quality.

50 Year Durability

CosyWall is Codemark certified with a 50 year durability rating meaning it will last the life of your home.

High Thermal Performance

CosyWall Insulation is known for delivering higher thermal performance that most other insulation products.

Why Insulate Your Walls?

Quite simply. insulating your walls is one of the best investments you can make in your home. Wall insulation helps complete your home’s thermal barrier which creates more energy efficient homes that are easy to heat in the winter and cool in the summer.

Your walls play a vital role in regulating temperature and controlling energy costs. If your walls aren’t properly insulated, heat can escape in the winter and enter your home in the summer, making it challenging to maintain a consistent temperature. This leads not only to discomfort but also to higher energy bills.

In addition to regulating temperature, wall insulation also helps reduce noise pollution. Noisy neighbours, traffic, and other external sounds can make it difficult to relax and enjoy your home, but by insulating your walls, you can minimise the amount of noise that enters your home, creating a more peaceful and relaxed environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get all the information you need to make an informed decision – explore our FAQ section and find answers to your most pressing questions about CosyWall Insulation and wall insulation in general.

CosyWall is Codemark Certified – What does this mean?

CosyWall insulation has Codemark certification and what this means is that we’ve been through all the steps involved in proving to the government that our CosyWall System complies with the building code.

Codemark certification helps provide you peace of mind that when you choose CosyWall Insulation, it is a durable, long-lasting product that will be installed by qualified experts. The system is continually reviewed through regular auditing and testing procedures giving you the reassurance that the installation will be done to the highest quality standards.

How does CosyWall Insulation work?

The simplest way to describe how CosyWall insulation works is by using the example of a chilly bin effect.

Typically in a home, you have a lid (the roof insulation). and a base (the floor insulation) and all your homes heat passes out through the walls. CosyWall insulation completes your home’s thermal envelope by adding a barrier to the walls of your home, allowing your home to retain its heat.

Will CosyWall shrink or slump over time?

The great thing about CosyWall Insulation is that we install it to such a high density that it’s never going to slump or shrink inside your walls.

CosyWall is based on European technology and is proven overseas as well as in New Zealand. The product is not going to deteriorate over time, and once it’s in your walls, it’s there to stay. It will continue performing day in, day out and will never cost you a cent to run.

The result is a much warmer, healthier home that you’ll love to live in!

How easy is CosyWall to install?

CosyWall Insulation is very easy to install into the homes. If you install a segment product, you usually have to remove all the linings of your home to install it. This can be a costly process and take a long amount of time to install.

With CosyWall the installation is very simple. It’s blown into your walls through small holes from either the interior or exterior of your home depending on your preference. When we’re done we seal up all the holes and once we’re finished you’ll never know we were there.

What is an R-value rating?

We often get asked about R-values in CosyWall. An R-value is simply a measure of a thermal resistance of an insulation product. The higher the number the better it will retain heat inside your house.

CosyWall Insulation has the highest R-value that’s obtainable in this type of product and is equivalent to the top batts and blown insulation products available in New Zealand.
