CosyWall Thermal Internal Technical Datasheet
Technical information about CosyWall Insulation Internal Installation Method
The CosyWall internal installation method is designed for homes that need wall insulation added from inside the property. This approach is well suited to situations where exterior access is limited, or where the wall type makes internal installation the better option. We create small access points through the internal lining, blow insulation into the wall cavity so it fills the space properly, then carefully repair and finish those entry points once the job is complete.
CosyWall Thermal can be easily installed from inside the home through existing plasterboard linings.

Internal wall insulation is a little more involved than installing insulation from the outside, because the access work is carried out from within the home. Even so, we take care to keep disruption to a minimum and to leave the space clean and tidy once the job is complete. Before we begin, we protect the work area with drop sheets and take steps to contain any dust created during the installation process. Once the insulation has been installed, we carry out a full clean up so the area is left in good order.
We also work with homeowners to find a convenient time for the installation, helping reduce disruption to day to day life. Internal installation is often a very good option when you are already planning to redecorate or repaint, because the access points can be repaired and prepared ready for the next stage of finishing.
Here’s a quick overview of how CosyWall Thermal is installed through your internal walls.

We start by preparing your internal walls to be insulated. We do this by drilling small holes into the internal linings through which Insulation can be installed.
We take the greatest of care when adding penetrations to your internal walls to ensure they can be easily repaired once wall insulation has been installed.

Once your internal walls are prepared for insulation, we are able to fill them with CosyWall. Wall Insulation is blown into your wall cavity using specialised equipment to ensure the right thermal densities are achieved.
CosyWall Insulation is ideal for retrofitting a New Zealand timber frame home with wall insulation because it properly insulates into all the gaps and voids which are often left uninsulated by other products.

Once your internal walls have been insulated, we provide a plaster finish so it’s ready for a fresh coat of paint.
Once we’ve completed the process you’ll never know we were there and all you’ll be left with is a nice and cosy, more energy efficient home.
CosyWall insulation has Codemark certification and what this means is that we’ve been through all the steps involved in proving to the government that our CosyWall System complies with the building code, and provides you peace of mind that when you choose CosyWall Insulation, it is a durable, long-lasting product that will be installed by qualified experts.
