CosyWall Thermal Linings Off Datasheet
Technical Information about the CosyWall Linings Off Method
The linings off installation method is well suited to renovation projects where the plasterboard has already been removed, and is designed to meet the standards of NZS 4246:2016. With the wall cavity exposed, CosyWall Thermal can be installed directly into the framing before the new linings are fitted, making it a simple and effective way to upgrade wall insulation during renovation work.
Designed to meet the standards of NZS 4246:2016, the Off Linings solution works seamlessly with the CosyWall Insulation system, making it easier to retrofit insulation while ensuring long-term performance.

The CosyWall Off Linings method replaces the traditional pan style approach with a suitable synthetic breathable underlay, fixed directly to a durable drainage plane mesh within the wall cavity. This creates a tidy and effective backing for the insulation system, while also supporting good moisture management within the wall. It is a modern approach designed for renovation projects where the internal linings have already been removed and the wall framing is exposed.
Once the cavity has been prepared, CosyWall is installed into the wall and held securely in place with a BIB retainer. This helps keep the insulation in the correct position within the framing, ready for the next stage of the renovation. When the time comes to close the wall back in, the internal linings can be easily refixed over the system as part of the relining process.

CosyWall insulation has Codemark certification and what this means is that we’ve been through all the steps involved in proving to the government that our CosyWall System complies with the building code, and provides you peace of mind that when you choose CosyWall Insulation, it is a durable, long-lasting product that will be installed by qualified experts.
